Another great trip to the Radisson. Flight from JFK on a Wed was great -no lines and return on a Wed the same.
We have not been back for 2 yrs but everthing was the same as we remembered.
Rooms a little more worn but no problem for us the service and friendly employee's make up for the rooms age.
We did not find the room to be damp or mouldy but some people insist on leaving there sliding door open with a/c on and I am sure that will invite the dampness in the room. We booked standard king and requested not to be on ground floor. We did not feel we needed to book a higher grade of room as we were only there to sleep in it. We were given 6th floor in Curacao building along side of Riu. No problem as we left room by 9am for included breakfast and did not return till 5. Showered and dressed for dinner and all reservations we made were for 7:30 each evening.

We ate at Madame Janettes - Aqua Grill - Sunset Grille - Solo Mare - Giannia's - Challet Swiss and Hostaria da Victorio. The Aqua Grill & Giannia"s and Hostaria da Victorio were not that great so we won't return to those. All of our reservations were made while we there by the helpfull staff in the lobby.

The beach along the high rise area is the best for us.If you like to take long walks and visit the other hotels for happy hour and exercise or to walk off all the good meals. The new system of palapa reservations is great-no more waking at the crack of dawn. If you want a specific palapa get on line before 4 or otherwise wait until the line dies down and choose one further back. Hit or miss if wait till am to get one. The staff did remove unattended towels after 10 to allow other guests to use them.

We did see a group of three family's traveling together that came down and just tool over unattended palapas and the staff did inform them they were reserved but let then stay there with a warning if the guest that reserved came they would have to move.

We went to town only one time to visit our favorite jewelry store.
As is was my birthday while there my dh was generous as usual and this time treated himself as well.
We did not take any tours or water adventures just layed back read and met several new people whom we hope to meet again there.

Each afternoon and evening we visited the Miro Solo bar to enjoy the company of the lovely ladies that serve there and were greeted with happy faces on each visit. The addition of the saxaphone player was a nice treat and we enjoyed our time there.

We did not find the front desk to be rude at all they take there time and give each patron there full attention. I have read many reports and find that guests arriving complain they have to wait for there room but keep in mind ck in is 4 even if your flight is early, They have a travel facility on the property for early arrivals and late departures with locker's and showers a nice setup that we have used in the past.

We ate 3x at Gilligan's the food was high in price but big portions we ended up splitting a lunch.
We found eating a big breakfast and lunch left no room for dinner. There were servers on the beach all day to order drinks from. Our room was cleaned everyday and one day no washcloths but we asked for some and they were there on our return to the room.

We enjoyed our stay at the Radisson and will return next year and hope to see some of the same face's.
