There are hundreds of people right now looking at what happened. People are looking without saying words. There is a traffic jam on the road.
Basically, it is Mother Nature working... with erosion etc. Some say that they felt an "earthquake" at around 4:00 a.m., and that is what may caused it. But there is no proof of any earthquake happening today in this area. Maybe when this huge piece of bridge came down, it might have shook this whole area of the island.
Some heavy equipment are en route.. but what can they do? What can we do? Nothing. Aruba has 7 Natural Bridges, so now we are left with only 6 lesser-known and difficult-to-get-to bridges.

Omg, how awful! My mom is there right now on her first trip to Aruba; I hope she got to see it before it happened. I'm going to try to attach one of my favorite pics of the bridge from 6 years ago. I look at it every day.

We went to Aruba last year and we made some photos on it. Can't imagine it collapsed.
I found some more pictures on http://www.discountclub-aruba.com/?id=100

That's sad, for sure. We were there two years ago.
I guess that little snack shop that charges to use the bathroom will be falling on hard times, eh?

This was an icon for Aruba and now it's gone. I went in September and that was one of the most beautiful sites (along with most of the island). My wife and I went last year and planned on going again with a group next year. One less experience for my friends to have.
WHAT DID WE DO TO P/$$ OF MOTHER NATURE THIS YEAR.
FIRST THE TSUNAMI, THEN KATRINA, NOW THIS???

Now that the beloved natural bridge is no longer.......will the area become sort of like a "natural pool"?
What a shame though. Imagine, that formation has been there thousands of yrs formed by nature. Now, nature has destroyed it and thank goodness without injuring anyone.
