So far we have learned that after 7pm parking is still free downtown. (Which is very helpful if you're going to dinner like we did a couple of nights ago.)
Yesterday we were driving back from a late afternoon lunch at West Deck and the parking lots at and near the marina were more than half empty. I have never seen so many places to park. I guess no one wants to pay and they've found other alternatives.
We've looked at the pay stations a couple of times but still not sure what they do/do not take as far as currency since we haven't had to pay yet. _________________ ~Amy~®

Amy, this is an academic question for me since: A. I don't rent a car and B. I don't stray far from the resort in any case but when it comes to parking in the States, some people with physical limitations are issued a handicap placard to use at meters and municipal lots for free and unlimited parking. I'm just wondering if Aruba has something equivalent and whether a State-Side permit would be allowed to be used? In the US, state permits issued by one state are universally accepted. It would be nice if this applied in Aruba as well!!
Maybe they have a web site that we could check?? _________________ John...

I tried those earlier but 'No habla Papiameto!' and 'Google Translate' won't handle it! Sorry!
Don't bother any more right now, I'll look for an e-mail address. Enjoy the beach instead! That's what you're there for!! If I find anything, I'll post it.
I found it, info@aruparking.com _________________ John...
