Anyone having any input on some new things to do? We are seasoned visitors and feel we are starting to run out of things to do. This year we are going to do De Palm Island for the first time. Any input on horseback riding, we have done just about everything else. Need some ideas and suggestions. We are going at the end of April as usual. I am committed to a PPC event the 24th & 25th, but we are open after that. Any tips are appreciated.

I'm with you....we're always looking for new things to do, too. Or we try to revisit places we haven't been to in years.

Have you been to Philip's Animal Garden yet? It's still relatively new and he keeps improving and adding new (rescued) animals every year.

For horseback riding we like the Gold Mine Ranch. It's a smaller mom and pop place so you'll never be out riding with a large group.

We really enjoyed Phillip's Animal a Farm, at Amy's suggestion. I think you will like De Palm Island, it is a lot of fun!

We love the Donkey Sanctuary, too, and usually go at least once a year with a couple of bags of carrots.

We want to try the trolley for our May/June visit, just for the sake of saying we rode it.

Can I park by the cruise terminal and is that the starting point? How far from where I need to park to board the trolley?

YYes, just park anywhere near the cruise terminal - it starts right there (just follow the tracks and you'll see where they end) and then winds its way behind the bus terminal and then down Main Street. It stops every so often to get off/on. We ended up getting on about halfway down Main Street and then road to the end of Main Street where it stops and then goes in the opposite direction back to the cruise ship terminal where we got off. There are two different trolleys - one is green and one is blue - the blue one has seating on the top, too.

We've been on the ones in San Francisco before but these were fun, too - and noisy. LOL!

Had to correct my post above regarding the colors - GREEN and blue. Not sure where I got red from because we rode the green one. My memory is going. LOL!
