Just returned from ten wonderful days at the Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino Resort next door.
The Ritz was EMPTY!
Every day when I walked by on the beach, empty! They have umbrella's, not Palapa's. They have a lot of them and 80 percent were empty.
I went inside on Thursday night and it was empty. As many employees as guests in the lobby/bar area. The casino is just off of the main entrance to your left and guess what, it was empty (this was around 8pm). Maybe about 20-30 players and none of those players looked like "Ritz" guests.
For you players, they do have a ten dollar blackjack table.
They have a long hallway for shops and the only shop opened so far was their basic gift store. None of the other shops have been leased.
In spite of the lack of guests, they did have three people (yes, I said three) open the two sets of doors at the entrance for me as I entered and exited the hotel.
The public areas of the Marriott are much nice and much larger.
==========================
This picture was taken at 2pm earlier this week. Look at how empty the Ritz beach was and all of those CLOSED umbrella's

The Ritz is in their "soft opening" phase so only a portion of their rooms are available right now. It will be quiet for awhile until their Grand Opening.
Welcome back from your trip! _________________ ~Amy~®

When we arrived December 7th there was a large wedding party coming in to the Ritz from Venezuela. We did the timeshare preview at Marriott the following week and were told that the family flew in 3 international entertainers for the wedding and dropped 6 million on the wedding??!! Don't know for sure, but they had the side of the building towards the kite surfing area set up with a stage and covered for a very large party and security people outside the fence for a couple of days. Must have been some party. |
