Hi Amy:
Where is the Wine Room? Have you tried the wine bar by the Alahambra Casino?
Mike probably got sick on the flight down - I did last visit and had to take antibiotics when I returned. Seems a pre-teen sitting across from me was coughing and sneezing and using the seat pocket in front of her to store her used tissues

The Wine Room is located in Orange Plaza which is a small stripmall area located on the main highway across from the Divi Links. He's only open on weekends right now for tastings. I would definitely call ahead if you want to stop by.
We did try Fusion at Alhambra last year and really liked it there, too.
Had a huge turnout at the bulletin board party last night. Got to meet a lot of new people who I hope to see again. 13 of us then went to dinner after the party at 2 Fools and a Bull. Excellent dinner and great company - could not have asked for a better night full of great food, wine, and a lot of laughter. Home at midnight....and now ready for another morning beach walk,

Forgot to mention that last night was the first time I have ever had Beef Wellington which was one of the courses at 2 Fools. I have been missing out for too many years - that is one awesome dish!

Yesterday was a beach day....beautiful morning and then the dark cloud came and dumped rain on us for about 20 minutes....then hot and sunny again. This seems to be the pattern lately. I think the rain would normally last 5 minutes but because it isn't windy the cloud sticks around a little too long. But at least we know that we can just pull our chairs under the palapa (as does the rest of the people on the beach), we read our books and just wait it out for the sun again.
Last night we decided to make our own little happy hour. Nice bottle of champagne, cheese and crackers, a little bouquet of flowers that the maid put in our room, and a candle (which we also found in the room.) We took everything over to a table by the pool at around 7pm and enjoyed out "table for 2".
For dinner we ended up at Chalet Suisse. Had not been there in years. Mike had the rack of lamb and I had the filet mignon. Both were cooked perfectly. It was nice seeing Benny and Rudy again - such perfect gentlemen and they really know how to run a restaurant.
Mike just headed out for a run this morning. After that we're headed to DePalm Island. Again, haven't been there in YEARS (back in the day when they were not all-inclusive and you just paid $8 for the ferry ride over.) A friend invited us there so we're going to have breakfast on the island and then snorkel a bit. I'm sure it looks completely different then last time we were there which I think was around 2002.
So far, the day looks to be a nice sunny one! Enjoy your day, everyone!

We may join you later this afternoon.
Mike is out running this morning so his cold must be a bit better (he is taking Sudafed every morning though.) I am taking pain pills for a torn muscle so we are quite the pair on this trip.
Hope you have a great day on the beach....and keep those pesky rain clouds away. We've seen enough of those now.

No rain today. In fact, a beautiful day. Sitting on my terrace, taking in the beautiful sunset. Hope you had a nice day!
