Good morning everyone,
Here are a few thoughts about our vacation in Aruba last week:
I never get tired of this place. After landing at Reina Beatrix Airport and picking up the car, it just felt so good to be back in Aruba after an absence of two years.
Watching Aruba wake up. Every morning, we'd be on our porch having breakfast, reading the paper and watching the joggers, the cyclists, the kids going to school and the sun coming up.
For every door that closes, another opens. Well, we were planning on going to Amadeus for dinner last Tuesday. There was a great deal of road construction and we were a little nervous about navigating through it in the dark. We decided to try the Blue Lobster, on the road to Linda's, Bingo and just past the sign to the Old Cunucu House. Donna saw it's advertisement in the local paper; it wasn't in any of the glossies you get at the airport. Wonderful food, friendly staff, lobster 19 ways. Try the Lobster Bruschetta! Wonderful new discovery.
People on our bb are so cool! Met Carol, Sasha and Terry at Monday's bb party. All super nice people. Hope to see them again at a future bb party.
No, the world does not have to change, at least not like this. Last Monday, Donna and I went to El Gaucho for lunch. The meal is not at issue here, it was wonderful as we new it would be, but it was El Gaucho's sign outside on the sidewalk showing their specials. A special at El Gaucho last Monday was, and I'm not making this up, fish!! Aaaaahhh! That is just wrong on so many levels. What's next, vegetarianism at El Gaucho? No, the world does have to change like this.
More later, have a great Tuesday.

Hi Glenn -
I love mornings in Aruba like you described. I always refer to it as "watching the island wake up".
Happy to hear that you and Donna had a great trip....and you got to meet everyone at the BB party, too (added bonus!)
I think as long as El Gaucho keeps serving their Gaucho steak, I will be happy. LOL! _________________ ~Amy~®

Glenn I don't know if you remember at the BB party but Scott and I headed to Amadeus for dinner after the BB party. We encountered the road construction too but we found a way around and eventually found the restaurant...only to find it was closed on Monday! UGH! It was ok though because we at least knew how to get around the road work and knew we needed to come that same way a few days later to head to the Donkey Sanctuary. So we ended up at Bingo that evening instead. Unfortunately we never made it back to Amadeus this trip which was disappointing. I did see Blue Lobster and also looked them up to read their menu. It said you had to have reservations though so we didn't end up trying it. Glad to hear it was good. Next year! _________________

Enjoyed your post, Glenn! Almost spit out my coffee to hear that the sign outside El Gaucho had fish specials!!
It's always those little discoveries that make our trips special! Mine this year was meeting artist Elisa Legeun.
The Blue Lobster sounds perfect! _________________ Christmas 2015 at Disney World!
