Just hung out with friends on the island and had a nice relaxing vacation (even the Travelocity Traveling Gnome had fun! LOL!)

This was the first time I saw a parrot (not in a cage) in Aruba AND was able to get a photo (I know, doesn't take much to excite me. Laughing

) He was on the palm tree in the parking lot of the hotel - just happened to see him when I was walking to my car.

Hi Amy. loved your report..we missed Aruba this year cause of health.. hard to take after 15 yrs..question.? what was the guy doing up in the air on your ocean pic's.?? EK..

EK - hope all is better health-wise now and you can get back to Aruba soon!

The photos of the guy over the water is the JetLev (we had them here in Minneapolis last summer, too, on the lakes.)

Here is info on it that I took from Red Sail's website:

Introducing the coolest, most exhilarating watersports ride of your life - the JetLev! You can literally fly over the ocean, soar up to 30 feet in the air... or hover and walk along the water. JetLev is unlike any thrill ride you'll ever experience and exclusively available at Red Sail Sports.

JetLev is a water propelled Jetpack. The system is powered by a custom-designed 225 horsepower engine creating 600 - 800 gallons per minute of thrust, which can propel the pilot to heights of 30 feet. The throttle can also be controlled remotely by the flight-instructor which will guide the rider how to use the controls during their initial flight to ensure a safe and controlled experience. A flight assistant on a waverunner will accompany each JetLev pilot to ensure a safe and uninterrupted flight experience.

Offered daily, must be 18 years of age to fly.

Amy...GREAT REPORT as usual.
(Already said so elsewhere).
We're doing our #29 in September!

We have planned another transatlantic cruise for May, 2014. Fort Lauderdale to Lisbon, Seville, Palma de Majorca, Barcelona, Nice, Florence and back to Barcelona...17 nights. Home again to Orlando!

God willing, Aruba #30 will be September, 2014!
