Hi everybody!
After a forced absence of over two years, we are booked for Aruba this coming October.
We'll be there from October 12 to 19. We be celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary on October 12, and Monday October 14, 2013 is not only BB party day, it's also Canadian Thanksgiving.
We're using Air Canada, going Winnipeg-Toronto-Aruba, and we'll be staying at Aruba Sunset Beach Studios in Malmok.
I've been going to Aruba for 33 years and I don't think I've ever been this excited to return.
As many as possible, I hope to see you all there.

Hi Carol
Very much looking forward to meeting you too!
You and I will probably spend a good part of the party toasting so many things; our friendship, Aruba, the U.S.A., Canada, dear old bonnie Scotland and anything else that pops into our heads at the time.
Take care. See you in 9 months!

It looks pretty good that we will be there around that same time too! This will be our 10th year in a row visiting Aruba so we are looking forward to getting recognized for that. The 15th is my husband's birthday so we'll be celebrating that as well! I was just looking at flights today around those dates. Right now the prices are HIGH so I'll keep checking back. We'll be staying at the usual Manchebo. Can't wait to meet you! _________________

Hi everybody,
Sasha, I'm looking forward to meeting you. Same with you Carol.
Corinne, Amy; you know what you have to do. Lol.
Sounds like the BB party on the Monday is going to be a hoot! Sasha's 10 consecutive Aruba visit, her husband's birthday, our 28th wedding anniversary, Canadian Thanksgiving (don't worry, we'll remind you). Anybody else celebrating then. Just being able to get back to Aruba is enough celebration for me.
There are, for me, four more seasons after winter. Busy season, Maui, summer and Aruba.
If you think we're seasonally challenged, your right, we are. The tree is still up!
Goodnight from Winnipeg,
Glenn |

Hi Glen, We're still here at Sunset and I am writing a report in the general forum. Just wanted to give you the heads up since you are going there.

Hi Arlette,
I look forward to reading about it.
We decided to give Sunset Beach Studios a try after having stayed at The Mill 6 times, Amsterdam Manor 5 times before that, plus Talk of the Town and Manchebo Beach.
Have you been on the trolley downtown? I think the jury will be out on that for a long time.
Summer is on the way here; we just switched over to Daylight Saving Time.
Have a great week.

Hi Glenn,
Wow, you've been here a lot! This was only my second time. My parents used to come regularly and I came with them once. They always stayed at the Holiday Inn.
As for the downtown trolley, it doesn't exists yet...lol. The tracks are laid, but they are revamping the old downtown behind the Royal Plaza. So far, it has not been a pleasant experience for the Arubans who have shops around there, Apparently they lost so much business waiting for it to be done, many have closed...terrible. Personally, I feel the whole trolley thing is a poor idea. It's mainly for people on the cruise ship to go into towh...that's all of two or three blocks! A lot of cost for a poor idea. Sprucing the downtown up was probably a good idea, but they caused a lot of problems doing it. Just my opinion.
Otherwise, the island is thriving. We had a fantastic time! _________________ God Bless,
