Just got back from another trip and I was wondering if anyone knows why all the help are asking for Blackberry's and I phones??I was asked on 4 occasions if I could bring one or the other back to Aruba for them on my next trip?I'm sure they could be bought on e bay,Anyone else have this experience?

I guess it has to do with the fact that you pay a high tax when you buy them on Aruba. I know we in the Netherlands sometimes smuggle iPhones from the States because the cost is 1/3 cheaper than here.

I see,but cant they order them online?I'm a Little hasty buying one for this person,now I'm wondering if they realize I want to be payed for it,my friend said they think it's a gift,Id like that gift myself!LOL

I can only imagine what the shipping charges would be to Aruba from a U.S. business.....pretty high, I'm sure.

Ask for your payment up front if you're buying one for somebody and it's not a gift.

Also, if you order online and the tax department recognise that it is an iPhone (they know which companies ship them and check the package) you have o pay tax and a fine for tryibg to avoid taxes. I know people to who this happened! Letting them pay in advance sounds good to me.
