Hi All

Coming to Aruba in Aug/Sept and would like any reccomends for good chill out bars with maybe decent live music?? (I'm thinking the Wet Spot at St Petes, Tampa)

Also any top 5 restaurant lists would be gratefully recieved. We both love seafood but prefer a "laid back" ambience most of the time but with the odd "splurge".

Many thanks ion advance

JB

Let's see...for live music:
The Bugaloe Pier Bar
Moomba's Beach Bar
Cafe Rembrandt
Garufa (downtown)
CILO (downtown)

I would check the websites for each of these for schedules and musicians since some have a different type of music on each night.

You're staying at Manchebo, right? There is a great casual restaurant with good food that is just a couple of resorts over from Manchebo (an easy 5 minute walk) called Matthew's (it's located at Casa del Mar and is open air near the beach.)

In addition to Matthew's, some of our favorites:
Passions on the Beach
Madame Janette's
Wacky Wahoo (small, noisy place but great fish - make sure you make reservations though because it's always packed)
Bingo - great Dutch style pub with really good food
Que Pasa
Pinchos
Barefoot

So many great places.....here is the link to the restaurant website - maybe it'll help:
