Existence rightly considered is a fair compromise between two instincts — the instinct of hoping one day to live, and the instinct to live here and now. ~Arnold Bennett _________________

"You never know what their little minds are thinking."
Kiki Hardee, 5, cooked up a series of fundraisers. As donations poured in, her schoolmates were amazed. Her donation goal was to raise around $616 in order to eliminate her school's lunch debt. But Kiki's Kindness Project didn't just pay off her elementary school's debt, but the entire district's, totaling more than $7,000.
This is in Vista, California.
Nora O'Donnell on CBS News says "Kindness is infectious". _________________ Life is what we make it, always has been, always will be - Grandma Moses (1860 - 1961) |

Wisdom is knowledge deepened by love. The wise person knows more deeply by way of love than by way of argument because the eye of the heart can see the truth of reality.

With the lengthening days which distinguish the third month of winter from its predecessor, come ardent desires for spring, and longings for the time of birds and flowers... ~Oscar Fay Adams _________________

“I believe that reading and writing are the most nourishing forms of meditation anyone has so far found. By reading the writings of the most interesting minds in history, we meditate with our own minds and theirs as well. This to me is a miracle.”
― Kurt Vonnegut, Palm Sunday: An Autobiographical Collage
Kurt Vonnegut (1922 - 2007) was an American writer. He published fourteen novels. He is most famous for his darkly satirical novel Slaughterhouse-Five (1969). _________________ Life is what we make it, always has been, always will be - Grandma Moses (1860 - 1961) |

Question the beauty of the earth, question the beauty of the sea, question the beauty of the air distending and diffusing itself, question the beauty of the sky...question all these realities. All respond: "See, we are beautiful."
--- from the writings of St. Augustine (354 - 430 AD)
He was a Roman African, early Christian theologian. _________________ Life is what we make it, always has been, always will be - Grandma Moses (1860 - 1961) |
