My husband and I are going for 11 nights in early December. We've been six times prior and always stayed in hotels. Mostly Manchebo as that's our favorite beach. We've decided to stay in a Villa/condo this trip as we're considering purchasing one in the future. We want to be close to the beach as possible and would prefer to have some restaurants within walking distance.
Does anyone have a map of where exactly these are located or have stayed in them and have the pro's and con's?
Thanks! |

Blue - located along the road between Amsterdam Manor and the Divi Phoenix
Oceania - located along the road across from Eagle Beach between MVC and Screaming Eagle.
The one drawback I see as far as staying at Blue is that they do not have a true beach set up yet. It's basically a man-made cove right now.
Oceania is across from beautiful Eagle Beach - there are palapas there for anyone to use. As far as chairs, you will need to check with the owner of the condo you're renting and see what they have in the unit for you to use.
Walking distance from Oceania - Screaming Eagle, Zuzuroh, Tulip, Chalet Suisse, Carambola, Mango's, and Passions.
If it was me, I would definitely go with Oceania due to the beach and location. _________________ ~Amy~®

Thank you so much! I was having a difficult time trying to figure out how far back Blue sits. We're beach bums and will have a much better time at Oceania. Amy, you actually helped me quite a few years with our first trip to Aruba. This will be our seventh. As our adult children have fallen in love with Aruba as well, we're considering buying a villa or condo.
Thanks again! |

Glad I could help! Hope you have a great time! I really do think Oceania (for the beach and location) is the better of the two. _________________ ~Amy~®

I have stayed at Oceania a couple of times. Love it!! There are many rentals on VRBO. You can call Oceania's business office to check if a listing is from a legitimate owner. The unit we rented came with a couple of beach chairs & lounges. We put them in the trunk of the car & just left them there for the duration. That way we could go to any beach we wanted & have chairs available. If the condo does not furnish chairs, you can rent from a guy on Eagle beach. I usually went to the nice people at MVC. I worked out a weekly deal with them. No problems. They dragged the lounge chair to whichever palapa I wanted. _________________ Mindy from Kansas City |
