CBP Aruba Preclearance Streamlines Process..
Release Date: December 10, 2014
Oranjestad, ARUBA ?? U.S. Customs and Border Protection Aruba Preclearance facility officially launched its new Automated Passport Control and Global Entry kiosks Dec. 8 at the Queen Reina Beatrix Airport in Oranjestad, Aruba.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection??s processing of passengers at Queen Reina Beatrix International Airport will become more efficient with the unveiling of 10 Automated Passport Control and four Global Entry kiosks in the Aruba Preclearance facility. These kiosks automate administrative functions of the border inspection process, reducing wait times and allowing CBP Officers to focus more on the law enforcement mission.
??U.S. Customs and Border Protection places a significant value on our public-private partnerships and we continue to collaborate on innovations to improve the passenger process,? said CBP??s Port Director of Preclearance Aruba James Grimes. ??The Automated Passport Control and Global Entry kiosks are prime examples of these mutually beneficial partnerships.?
Grimes joined Aruba Minister of Tourism Otmar Oduber, Aruba Airport Authority CEO James Fazio and Vancouver Airport Authority Vice President Anthony Gugliotta to officially cut the ribbon at the airport.
??This is the first step by the Aruba Airport Authority in modernizing a growing regional airport and improving the departure process, said James Fazio, CEO of Aruba Airport Authority. ??We look forward to our continued collaboration with our airport stakeholders and CBP to continue to enhance the passenger experience."
The Aruba Minister of Tourism expressed his congratulations to the Aruba Airport Authority and CBP in inaugurating this project prior to the start of the winter holiday season by providing passengers with a more streamlined U.S. inspectional process. _________________ ~Amy~®

Well, it's a start! Now if they can separate the two streams. (US and non US,) so we only have to go through security once, that woould be a real plus! Someone who works at the airport told me it was 'in the works!' Well we know about schedules and 'Caribbean time'don't we? _________________ John...
