Good evening everybody,
Donna and I are heading to Las Vegas in October for our 29th wedding anniversary.
As with previous Las Vegas vacations, we're staying at Bally's.
We do enjoy the place; especially the shopping and dining at celebrity chefs' restaurants. Sunday brunch at Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill has become mandatory for us.
I'm sure most of you have your own Las Vegas stories but I'll just say that the sights and sounds can almost result in sensory overload, in a good way.
Everybody keep on enjoying your summer!
Bye for now,
Glenn |

During your stay in Vegas, you should go 'Downtown' to Fremont street one evening. The Fremont Street Experience is presented every hour after dark on the street-wide five block long video screen over the street.

The Fremont Street Experience is something that has to be seen to be believed! It's dynamic, not static and will make you dizzy to wqtch it. Fremont St. is a good take-in all by itself!
You probably know about public transit and the monorails already. The three day pass on the Deuce is $20.00 per person. Good luck, especially in the casinos!! _________________ John...

Never been, but I just thought I would say that some friends from work in New York moved there (after trying Tennessee as a first retirement place). Like Florida, many people say "Isn't it too hot?". They did a 3-month rental in summer and still decided to go. No complaints after about 2 years. We see them here each year in March (they have a timeshare in FL).
When you are a resident, there are all kinds of cheap entertainment options...and they love it in comparison to eastern TN. _________________ Life is what we make it, always has been, always will be - Grandma Moses (1860 - 1961) |
