Forgot to mention that we got a really nice (new) rental car from Payless. It's a BYD. We had to look it up - made in China. Have seen a few of them in the parking lot though so must be the "new Yaris". LOL! Nice car though with keyless entry but the shifting is really off considering it's a new car. _________________ ~Amy~®

Looking good, Amy. Do not party too much. On second thought, do party a lot! After all, you must do our partying as well... |

Not too tough to take! Drink in those sunsets and keep an eye out for the 'green flash' as the sun dips below the horizon.
We finally were able to book air for our October/November trip. JetBlue finally opened up their November on schedule yesterday and we were able to get our flights for Oct 24th - Nov 3rd at a pretty good price. All in all, our trip for the same time as last year using our banked money on JB is about 2K less! Haven't gone that cheaply for a looooong time!
Meanwhile, enjoy! _________________ John...

LOL! Good idea about the our hours for information.
We might head down that way today or tomorrow so we'll take a look and see if they've opened yet. _________________ ~Amy~®

Headed downtown today and just window shopped. Nothing too exciting or new downtown.
Decided to go to Don Pinchos in Santa Cruz for lunch and on our way we saw the sign for Frenchman's Pass. Mike had never seen it so we made a detour and drove through and then stumbled on some old buildings down a dirt road in the distance. Decided what the heck, let's see what it is. First thing we saw there were some burrowing owls. Then started walking around (we were the only ones there) when an SUV pulled up with about 6 people It was people from the cruise ship plus a private guide....so we tagged along for the tour. Turns out it was old abandoned buildings for gold smelting. He also took us down a long path to what was a like a small pond of water with mangroves. Really interesting to be in the middle of nowhere like that.
Going to LG Smith's tonight for dinner since they're running a really great special for their anniversary. _________________ ~Amy~®

This is probably what you saw in that area:

Yep. That's it. We walked all over in the area and climbed the steps to the top which had a great view of the area.
Dinner at LG Smith's was excellent last night....although it was ALOT of food that came with the special so we were stuffed. Would definitely consider going there for dinner again on future trips. _________________ ~Amy~®

Lazy day at the beach yesterday. Last night we went to The Wine Room again and had a great time tasting wines with Monrick and another local couple.
Not sure what the plan is for today. Breakfast on the patio and then may wander around the island for a bit. _________________ ~Amy~®
