I was posting yesterday just as I lost my connection so I lost my post. D'oh!

Mindy, I didn't notice any power outage anywhere on Friday. That stinks that you couldn't go to those places but....at least you got to go to The Sultan instead. Had a great time hanging out with you...have to do it again sometime in the very near future.

We spent Friday on the beach just relaxing. Had a couple of glasses of wine on the patio while we watched the sunset and then went to Screaming Eagle for dinner. Had my first Lion Fish at Screaming Eagle - it was a really nice white, light flaky white fish. I would definitely order it again if I see it on the menu.

Yesterday we went to Linda's Pancakes for breakfast - the place we really busy and we barely got a table. The table next to us had 6 people crammed at it and I could tell they couldn't wait for us to eat and leave so they could nab our table. Food was excellent (Mike had the one with strawberries and whipped cream and I went for gouda, ham, and pineapple) but it was very uncomfortable as we listened to the table next to us devise all sorts of plans for our table. LOL!

After that we headed to Arikok Park. I think the last time we were there they were just starting to pave a few roads which are now done. Makes it much easier to drive on the main roads with a car and not a jeep. We stopped at the Visitor Center on the way which was very nice and had some history about the animals/birds you might see. The admission price is $10/person. Also stopped at the little Boca Prins restaurant for a beer on the way out and watched the locals in the surf at Dos Playa with their boogie boards.

On the way back we stopped at Charlie's Bar for a couple and to say hello to the usual bartenders we see there every year.

Had a 6pm dinner at Passions last night. Food, atmosphere, and music was perfect - - liked my dining companion, too. Wink

Went to Barney's and Bingo's for a nightcap and to chat with friends. Long but fun day.

We are back to the beach today!

In less than a week, I should be seeing that view!!! Have u stopped by Scotts Brauts yet? I really LOVE that place for breakfast or lunch.

Hi Kent - we rarely go over to Palm Beach anymore except for drinks/lunch at the Bugaloe which is a "must" for us on every trip because it reminds us of when they first opened the bar on the pier (back when it was the Kokoa.)

Just popped into the room from a day on the beach. Going to a friend's (who lives on the island) birthday party shortly. His mom and sister flew in from Holland this weekend so it'll be nice to meet his family, too.

You should have dropped my name at Linda's. Nina would've given you the our VIP table, ha ha. I guarantee you one thing though, if my pancake is sitting in front of me, I tune out everything or anyone around me.

Just had our usual morning mimosas under our palapa. Back in the room now to put our swimsuits on and enjoy our last full day (boo!) in Aruba.

Had a brief 5 minute rain shower this morning and then we were treated to a lovely rainbow. Skies are sunny again.

This year was the first year we drove to Arikok Park and the visitor's center. We went in there but didn't pay the $10 to drive through the park. We just were not sure about it. Is it worth it? Can you see much just driving on the paved roads??? Maybe next year!

Just had our last morning beach walk and a couple of mimosas under our palapa. Mike is getting the car filled up with gas right now. Then we'll head back to the beach for an hour or so.....then the dreaded packing. LOL!!

Trying to figure out where to have the last lunch....Tulip, Matthew's, or Windows?

Flight is at 4:10 (Delta came through for us again with comp Medallion upgrades to first class all the way home - yay!)

Don't even want to think about work tomorrow....boo!
