Aug. 29...2 weeks from today! I have SO MUCH to do yet!
Working on getting a day trip booked for a Prosecco tasting/vineyard tour since this is the region where they make Prosecco.
We have the famous Regatta on Sunday the 1st:

Wed. night we're going to an opera in a palazzo.
Thurs. night is my b'day dinner (still don't know where we're going yet.)
Venice Film Festival is going on while we're there on the Lido so we're going to try and see the red carpet. George Clooney and Sanda Bullock will be there for their new movie "Gravity".
And I have no idea what to pack yet! Except I know we need alot of money - Paris is a cakewalk with cost compared to Venice.
I also need to find a cruise ship calendar so we can avoid the pesky cruisers during the day. LOL! _________________ ~Amy~®

Brand new piece of luggage (old one was 10 yrs old and getting ragged) is sitting in the middle of the living room floor as we speak. LOL! It's still empty though. Getting a little stressed....alot to do yet but I just need to breathe and relax. _________________ ~Amy~®

Thanks, everyone! Flying out today. MSP-AMS-VCE. This will be Mike's first trip to Italy so we booked a private boat taxi at the airport to arrive into Venice in style. LOL! Will take lots of photos - camera batteries are charged and ready to go! _________________ ~Amy~®

Amy, picked this up on 'Yahoo News'! Couldn't resist passing it on!!
A little while ago my daughter was flying home from Chicago on her company's dime and found it was quicker to go through MSP to get home than wait for a more direct flight. USAir strikes again! Matter of fact, I think it was the day you left fot Venice!

After flying in/out of many airports, I do agree with the article - MSP is a great airport! We have so many great (local) restaurants at MSP and it's also easy to eat healthy there. The space at MSP is nice, too, and there are always plenty of places to "escape the masses" and do a little work or have a little quiet time. Thanks for the link to the article! _________________ ~Amy~®
