I have never booked there but once when we couldn't get a flight home the airline put us up one night,we walked through a courtyard and went up a small elevator and our balcony was overlooking the Marriott.I have to say that room was terrible, dirty, damp, the hallway had old food on plates on the floor it was 10pm when we got there I was wondering is there a better section?the prices are unbeatable.Has anyone ever stayed there and if so do you have any info on the place?I would much rather ask a vacationer then read the site, noting ever looks as they say! |

There are 3 towers at the Holiday Inn; Aruba, Bonair and Curacao. You probably stayed in the Curacao which is the farthest from the Registration area; to your right. Don't know if it has been rennovated. The Aruba Tower is the nicest and closest and to your left when you enter the hotel so ask for the Aruba Tower as first preference and Bonair as your second choice. Hope this helps. |

It appears from "others" posts that that building you were in is CLOSED! I've been inquiring about the HI also and only the Aruba and Bonaire Buildings are being used and they are the ones closer to the Playa Linda and NOT the Marriott! _________________ "Life's a Beach"

I had a reservation there for Oct. and after all the horrible reviews and comments on other boards i cancelled and got a timeshare at Playa Linda for 1/2 of what it was going to cost at the HI. _________________ "Life's a Beach"

We stayed at the HI for 1 night due to flight. We were glad it was only 1 night. The lobby was nice but as soon as we got to halls by the rooms the musty smell was terrible and it was no better in the room. The rooms were very dated and seem dirty. The only thing we liked about this place was the pool, it was really nice. Beach chairs at the beach were mostly broke and you had to look to find one that wasnt. Do yourself a favor and look for another place to stay. _________________
