Hello all,
I'm here typing this from the Bucuti on eagle beach as u read this.
Can't say I've done much accept enjoy the beach thus far.
Did eat at 2 places thus far.
Barney's which was average. Not bad, not good, would I return? Depends.
El Gaucho always have to make a stop here every trip. It's a favorite.
Got some plans for later and will write about them tomorrow. |

Looks like Eagle beach kidnapped me for from completing this report
Anyways Ill do a summary of our 10 day stay which was 4/11- 4/21.
- 10 days in Aruba felt just right. I cant say we were ready to go nor ready to stay longer. Last year we did 8 days, & I think next year we might try 11 or 12.
- We did our first tour, on a Trike! We rode for 3.5 hours. They came to the hotel, I test drove it to get used to it, then we took off to meet two other members to go on the tour. We did the lighthouse, Chapel, a mountain place that you can climb up, zee rovers, airport, then through downtown, back to the Bucuti. It was super FUN. We will do the tour again next year & the tour director mentioned that he can take us to other places as well.
- Stopped by Gusto's in palm beach and had fun on a friday night for their happy hour. Its not a big night spot like confessions, however they a have a little dance area & the mood is festive.
-Ate at Cuba's Cooking, Barney's, El Gaucho, Smokey Joes(x's2) Amazonia(x's2) when we didnt eat near the bucuti. Cubas cooking & Barneys were so/so. The others are repeats of former trips.
-Met a very nice Taxi Driver named Daniel. He gave us his card & asked to drive for us the next time we are on the island.
-Did some Jewelry shopping while on the island. Touch of Gold and Little Switzerland never seem to disappoint. Ask for Sanji at TOG & Jairo at LS. Those two have always provided top notch service each time we have stopped in, even when we didnt by anything. |
