A fellow I know who's never been to Aruba heard me talking about pastechi one day. I told him it was like a giant perogie, sort of, not really. Hence, today I stopped at the Tia Rosa snack truck near the Pos Chiquito circle and got a couple of ham and cheese pastechi then got some assistance showing exactly what they are. Here's the video:

Enjoy the snack and more video to come.

I remember taking the 30 minute morning flight from Aruba to Curacao a couple of years ago. We were actually served breakfast of a warm pastechi and a juice box. Really hit the spot at 7am! _________________ ~Amy~®

Tried a few pastechi from other snack trucks nearer to the hotel zone.
I like the idea as I like pierogi, empanadas etc.
So far, they were just OK.
Your selections looked much larger.
How were they in price?
I don't think I am ready for fish for breakfast. _________________ Life is what we make it, always has been, always will be - Grandma Moses (1860 - 1961) |

Glad you all are enjoying the videos. Many more on the way. One thing I wanted to mention: some of these local places close at odd times for various reasons, so best to call ahead to make sure they're open. Other than that, enjoy!
All the best and stay tuned.
