Just a reminder Saturday evening is not a good time to go to Zeerover. You may be turned away. It was a good thing I went last night with the intention to buy fish to bring back to the apartment to cook because I don't like it fried in oil. The lady told me they were not accepting any more customers because they've had too many the kitchen couldn't handle it and the place was full, until I told her I am bringing it home. _________________ 81st trip November 15-21, 2020 |

Good to know - thanks!
I'm not a big fan of fish fried in oil either - I like it grilled. _________________ ~Amy~®

Amy, next time you are here, you let me know and Stuart or I will get you some FRESH fish to eat. We can get it one night and you can eat it the next day. It doesn't get any fresher than that. Kent _________________ 47th trip June 24th and 48th trip in Nov.

That sounds great! We did a fishing trip with Mahi-Mahi Charters in Sept. and came back with a mahi-mahi. Amsterdam Manor's restaurant, Mango's, cooked it for us the same night and it was SO GOOD!!! I could eat like that every night! _________________ ~Amy~®

Yow! We would like to have the opportunity to get fresh fish from the dock.
Kent, I don't think you are there in September (or we would consult your services).
I guess I didn't realize that you might buy the fresh fish to takeaway from Zeerover. I wonder how early that starts. I believe supplies were reduced when we arrived to dine near sunset.
We enjoyed the fried barracuda we had at Zeerover's in September. It was not real greasy, was not puffy and beer-battered like many popular places in the US. I'll say it was a light cornmeal-based coating. VERY GOOD!
This is great info...and we need more like this in Aruba! _________________ Life is what we make it, always has been, always will be - Grandma Moses (1860 - 1961) |
