Will try to be brief.
We stayed at Lacabana 7 nights and Renaissance 1 night.
Used Priceline for our night at Renaissance.
Water Aerobic instructor at Lacabana was terrific.
We didn't venture far. We did make a drive to the Natural Bridge one day and on Tuesday Paul and Charles did the Atlantis tour.
Bought next to nothing but did a little browsing at the shops on May 4th, the day we stayed at the Renaissance.......of course I "eyed everything" in Little Switzerland. Love those enamel tea pots and the gem stone world globes. Eyed some earrings at Bijoux, but did not buy as I chose to use my $$ at the casino (big mistake).
In the San Juan airport, we did buy some Kahlua @ $10 per 750 ml.
Weather ideal.
Warm, windy, sunny humid.
Casinos were unkind. We certainly tried! Alhambra, Crystal, Seaport, Hyatt and Marriott. Aarrggghhhh.
Restaurants.............thank God our one bad meal was on a gift certificate
"Captains Table" @ Lacabana. To say it "stunk" is a compliment. It was bad!
Other restaurants that were great.
Tulip = delicious and inexpensive, service slow.
MJ's = delightful
Cleos = good sandwiches very smokey room
Old Fisherman = delicious and very inexpensive. Very good fish.
Alfredos = good, inexpensive, very reliable and consistent.
Tomato Charlie = surprisingly good. Pizza yummy.
Paddock = yum! inexpensive, service seemed slow as my husband was antsy and exhausted from a day of travel.
Flights: AA on time in both directions, meals were palatable.
Just how bad can airline coffee taste?
Cheers,
Andrea
