Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort, December, 2003
By Samantha and Brandon

We have found perfection!!!

Upon our arrival at the Amsterdam Manor, we were in awe of how it was set up. It was like a little Dutch Wonderland. Everything there, from the time we arrived to the time we left, was perfect. The food at Mango's was terrific and the bartender (Filo) was hilarious. 5-6 and 9-10 Happy Hours with 2 for 1 drinks saved us some money! :)
We didn't do the all-inclusive, but we did have a few breakfasts and a few dinners there. The room was great. We got a one-bedroom suite that was like an apartment. We were on the far end of the hotel, and we had our own HUGE patio. 2 chaise lounges, one table with a hut umbrella over it and one table without...and 4 chairs for each table. The room was immaculate, fully equipped with pots and pans and anything you need to use the kitchen.

The beach there (Eagle Beach) was so beautiful and quiet and perfect. It was literally like 10 steps from our patio. I was worried when I was told there was a road in between our hotel and the beach, but it was a small road and it was not even a big deal or small deal at all. The Amsterdam Manor provided rafts to float in the water with while at the beach, which was nice and relaxing as well.

We were there for 2 days before half the staff was calling us by our first names. Anna, Cristy, Julio, Filo and the girls at Mango’s were terrific to us. We will be going back there next year…either for our honeymoon or just for a vacation.
