My wife and I recently visited Aruba, Nov. 5- 11. (Not long enough!)
It is one beautiful place, the best beaches I've ever seen, and I grew up in
FL and have visited a few other Caribbean islands. Maybe it's the
atmosphere, very cordial and laid back, a very friendly place. Maybe it's
the less humid weather, intensely hot sun, the way the sand doesn't get too
hot, a combo of good things that just came together for us to make a very
enjoyable trip. We stayed at the Wyndham, and must say the experience was
excellent. The resort is well maintained, the staff was helpful and
friendly, the restaurants we ate at on site were very good, especially
Blossoms. We went snorkeling, horseback riding and sailing, there's a
tendency to want to do too much - doing nothing but soaking up rays,
swimming and partaking of unlimited Aruba Aribas can make for a pretty good
day too.
Like Ahnold, we'll be back. It's made New England weather tough to
deal with - it's 38'F out now with gray skkies. Yuck ! We'd like to make
Aruba an annual event. A happy island, indeed. A great beach destination.
And the iguanas are interesting too.
