I am hoping someone on the forum can help me. We have booked the new Riu Palace for July 22! This will be our first trip to Aruba - I am very excited to visit this lovely island but I am also quite anxious to see how construction is progressing! I am hoping nearly everything will be completed by the time we arrive.

Thanks and have a great day!

Liz, I tried to go to your pictures and it puts back to the Aruba Bulletin Board, asks me for my username and passowrd but will not let me in??? Can you post the pixtures somewhere else? Also are these recent pixtures? The last ones I saw were from February or March and they were still working on the new buildings.

Thanks,

Joe

The pictures that are at the link above were taken end of last week. The crane appears to be gone from the tower closest to the beach. All of the balconies now have railings. The picture is too far away to see if they have started any interior decorating - like curtains! The photos don't include the front/street side tower either.

To see the pictures you have to register at this forum.

I am a member of the Forum but it keeps asking me for my user name and password when I try to see your pictures?? Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks for the other pictures Amy. Looks like the old building where my timeshare is on the beach might be ready but the front entrance that houses reception, some restaurants and the casino I don 't believe there is any way that is going to be ready for at least a few months!

Thanks,

Joe

I do have the same problem. It's asking me for my Username and Password and wouldn't let me in, even though I'm already signed in.

I hope you have a great time. Let me know how it goes. I'm booked into the RIU Hotel for September and I really hope that there'll be no problems.

The link is not within this forum but another forum therefore if you are logged in here it won't work there unless you have an account on that forum.

Here are some more recent photos that are not blocked.

Unfortunately the pictures also show an scaffolding accident that happened at the hotel on the 14th of June.

There were a couple of injuries but not serious - according to the posters of the pictures! Let's just hope they are ok.
