I just re-read what I posted last November.
Things about the same for me. I walk OK in the house, at my part-time job etc. I use a cane going into church, into restaurants etc. Shopping carts are a favorite tool. I cannot fall again. For longer walks, like strolling almost 3 miles around an arts festival, I use a rollator.
We scheduled a trip to Aruba again in September. Didn't happen. It was my wife's turn to be in the hospital a few days before departure. She is doing OK, but still trying to work out some hitches in meds. We did a cruise in October, plan 2 more for December and next February. Cruising works out well for us...because we choose escorted trips...a leader will handle most problems and it is a convivial group of fellow travelers.
Thanksgiving will be dinner for 7 at our table.
Hope all of you readers ARE giving thanks tomorrow.
Enjoy your day with family and friends!
P.S. We did sell a week of timeshare. We're thinking that we ought to make the other 2 weeks available for sale. _________________ Life is what we make it, always has been, always will be - Grandma Moses (1860 - 1961) |

To all my American friends here on the bb, a very Happy Thanksgiving.
We have much to be thankful for on both sides of the border.

Glenn,
I know Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving in October. Our Thanksgiving table included a couple from northern New Brunswick (Miramichi). They are thawing out in Florida for 5 months.
Hope you had a good day...holiday or not.
They told us that Canada Post has been on a "rotating" strike for about a month. While affecting large cities, it takes a toll on their more rural area. _________________ Life is what we make it, always has been, always will be - Grandma Moses (1860 - 1961) |
