Have heard good things about Sunset Beach Studios.
I don't have any info to offer on fishing. Sorry. Maybe someone else can help. _________________ ~Amy~®

Good afternoon,
I haven't been on here for a while but when I saw someone requesting some comments on Sunset Beach, I just couldn't help myself.
It helps to give some context, so here's mine. I've been going to Aruba, on and off, since 1980. We have stayed at Sunset Beach Studios twice, Oct 2013 and Oct 2015.
It is small, about 13 or 14 units, clean, comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful.
I posted a trip report on this bulletin board, with some commentary about SBS there, and I also wrote a review on Trip Advisor. Here are a few more comments.
As you are driving down the road to SBS, keep an eye out for the wreck off shore. SBS is just a hundred yards or so beyond the wreck.
If you can, try to book Ocean Suite 2. Great view from the porch and a ramp which is good for maneuvering heavy suitcases.
If you get Ocean 2, ask if they have finally put brakes on the bed castors. When we were there, one of us would get into bed and it would roll across the floor and wouldn't stop! Eventually we figured out a system that worked for us.
Enjoy watching Aruba wake up as you enjoy breakfast on the porch. The hand delivered Aruba News each morning is a nice touch.
Because of its location, and I guess I alluded to this earlier, a car is necessary if you're staying at SBS.
If you plan on going into Oranjestad, Aruba Parking Authority parking SmartCards can be purchased at SBS's office. The cost 15 Afl, 5 for the card and 10 Afl worth of parking time.
The most important thing, enjoy, enjoy, and then enjoy some more!
