Noooooo....!! That is my airline of choice.

I wonder if that will apply to my already booked flight in April?

I found more information on the timeframe for the changes:

-----------------

JetBlue said it would start offering new basic fares that donâ??t include a complimentary checked bag, as part of three new fare classes the airline is introducing next year. Along with Southwest Airlines Co. , JetBlue had been one of the last two U.S. airlines to offer all fliers at least one free checked bagâ??despite widespread adoption of bag fees by their peers in recent years.

JetBlue also said that starting in the third quarter of 2016, it plans to increase the number of seats on its Airbus A320 aircraft to 165 seats from 150. The new seats will reduce JetBlueâ??s average legroom by almost 5% to 33.1 inches per seat, which is still the most average space among U.S. carriers. The new seating configuration will also require a fourth flight attendant on those A320 aircraft because of federal rules that require one attendant per 50 seats.

I suppose it was too good to last! There go the overhead bins!!

I got an email from JB last night with this attachment:

http://blog.jetblue.com/

Of course it's nothing but PR trying to ease the pain!!

My daughter was telling me about flying back to Boston from Florida last weekend (on JB). It seems that during boarding,, everyone jammed around the gate and wouldn't let people through as they were trying to load from the rear forward. In fact, it took so long to load that when boarding was finally complete, the captain got on the horn and told the passengers that they missed their slot and had to wait at the gate for a new one. He explicitly blamed the confusion boarding.. Everybody is after those overhead bins!!

Oh, when they got to Boston, one of those people in a hurry dropped a carry-on on her and knocked the wind out of her!!

I have more but enough is enough!

This is the third thing Jetblue has changed within the last 2-3 months. None of the changes benefits the consumer. I will no longer fly JetBlue.

Hey, all they're doing is catching up! Their investors are complaining about low profits and they have to do something. I'm waiting for full pariculars and will make decisions based on comparisons... including JB!

They actually had a very profitable year, but evidently not enough to please the stockholders so now they are changing everything that made them popular so now they have joined the legions of bad airlines. The backlash is so great I sincerely hope they know what they are doing.

The airlines are all reaping big profits this year because of the dramatic drop in oil prices. I suppose JB is looking long haul. Hell, even the hotels are doing lt now! I don'r know where I'm going with this but I think I'll wait until this all shakes out.

In other news, 'Wheel of Fortune', as their trip tonight, awarded a weeks vacation in Aruba at Amsterdam Manor! Showing good taste!! They priced at $6k for two. Should do pretty good for that!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Well said I feel the same way. It still for me comes down to this Jet Blue still has some of the lowest prices RT from NYC to Aruba so as far as that goes I am not changing because they finally start charging Baggage Fees. Hell I only take one checked bag and a small carryon. Matter of fact checking other destinations that JB flies in the Caribbean to some of the other Airlines they have some lowest prices in a lot of destinations That I am checking out for my next trip. So I am a True blue member since 2007 and will stay a True blue member. At least where I leave from JFK there is no better alternative and I am very happy with their service. Cool

I really like JetBlue, unfortunately they are going the route of other airlines. Getting stingy. Lets just hope they don't get as bad as Spirit.

I have the same issue, Ron! Unfortunately JB has some of the best routes from NYC. Plus I have their AMEX, and I am able to rack up free trips.
