Hi, everyone. Got in yesterday flew Southwest. Uneventful flight. WE get our bags at baggage claim and Chris' bag was torn to shreds. Our plane landed at 2:45 by the time we made it through customs and filed a complaint with Southwest it was almost 5pm. We are staying at Brickell Bay until Saturday when we will move to our timeshare. Went to Tomato Charlies for dinner last night. Food was very good, then went to bed as we had been up since 2am. This morning we walked around Palm Beach area and did some shopping. Had some lunch at Tony Romas, I love their potato soup! Gonna get in some pool time now. Dinner at Elliotts tonight, can't wait It's one of my favorites!! I'll check back in later!!

Hi, Amy!!! Yes nothing was missing or damaged. The bag was in shreds and the zipper broken clear off. Once he pulled the zipper apart to get his things out it couldn't be used. We actually had to buy new suitcase today. Southwest will be getting the bill!! Thanks!!

When that happened to me with Delta, they gave me a new suitcase on the spot.

Hi, Lenny.... We were told that it has to go through headquarters. We filed a report and they took pictures of the damage. We also took pictures for our record just in case.

Enjoy your holiday. If you need a new suitcase, I recommend La Linda's in Oranjestad. They have a very good selection at the 4th floor. I did buy a ultra light hard shell suitcase of that reknowned brand I can remember the name of. The one where they let an elephant step on it. Anyway, it was for a good price.

Thanks Dutchdushi. I will keep that in mind... Dinner at Elliotis was wonderful as always. The weather has been wonderful. We moved into our timeshare yesterday. Had dinner at Mulligans, it never disappoints. Went to Ling and sons today, that place amazes me. It's so big. Lazy day today, hopefully I'll get some beach time in tomorrow!!

We too bought a Desey suitcase at La Linda. They have a large selection. Very Happy

I also concur with others regarding the luggage at La Linda - tons to choose from! Glad to hear the contents were not ruined, too.

Yes Amy , we're having a great time... We meet with the wedding planner today at 2pm. We are picking our ceremony site, our cake flavors and flowers. Getting super excited. Next November will be here before we know it!!
