Hello Aruba lovers,

We are working on our first trip for this November, 8-15th or so. We are looking at VRBO, resorts and maybe the Tam / Divi. From the map it is hard to tell, but it looks like there is nothing within walking distance to the Tam / Divi itself. If we want to leave the resort for a while, do we need to use the car, or is there shops, restaurants etc. a nice stroll away?

Ken

Hi Ken!

A little bit of a stroll but still walkable is the Alhambra Casino. Around the casino area there are a few shops, mini-mart, and a few restaurants in the area. It's not alot compared to downtown or the Palm Beach area but it's nice to know you can walk to dinner, have a drink, stop at the casino, etc. I also believe the Tam and Divi have free shuttle service (via golf carts) to the Alhambra area so you can catch a free ride.

Yes, the Divi/Tam have a free golf cart shuttle between their two resorts and the Alhambra. There is a bus stop directly in front of the Tamarijn's lobby and use of bicycle are including with the all inclusive. It is a short bike ride to get to downtown Oranjestad and the bikes have locks. Smile
