I haven't been to Aruba in 4 years, so I haven't been able to compare the new Super Foods vs Ling & Sons. Which do you prefer and why?
TIA,
Carol |

I like Super Food better because of the close proximity to our hotel (practically out the back door), more Dutch products which we like, and it doesn't seem as congested as Ling's since it's not as big. Their liquor store also has a good wine selection (although I did have to run to Ling's once for my favorite champagne - Super Food had it the day I arrived but when I went back to restock later in the week, they didn't have it anymore.) _________________ ~Amy~®

I agree with Amy- Super Food is very convenient, clean and had a good selection of foods and wines. Everything we bought was fresh and delicious. There was also a store attached with beauty products/pharmacy items! _________________ Christmas 2015 at Disney World!

Good morning Amy, Carol and Corrine,
Finally a practical question from Donna and I. We're going to give Super Foods a try too when we are there in October. We arrive late Saturday (Oct.12) afternoon/early Saturday evening.
What are Super-Foods Sunday hours?
Thanks Corrine for mentioning the pharmacy/health & beauty aids store. That's important to us as well.
Have a great Sunday you three, and anyone else who is reading this.

The new Super Foods wasn't open yet when we were there last year so I am looking forward to checking it out in October! _________________

Same for us! We liked the old Super Food for bakery, deli, products from The Netherlands etc.
We'll try Super Foods as our first stop in September. Yet, we have become familiar with what Ling's offers and where it is located. Unless Super Food gives a superlative impression, we'll probably continue to spread our dollars around to the various groceries.
Is the old Super Food still open?
We're back on October 5th, Glenn. Sorry times do not cross. I think we would enjoy a chat! _________________ Life is what we make it, always has been, always will be - Grandma Moses (1860 - 1961) |

Just returned last week and I now prefer the new Super Foods over Lings.
The new store seems to have better selection of produce, cheese and of course always did like their bakery. Their cafeteria has great breakfast items, especially the scrambled eggs - so light and fluffy and you can either eat there or take back to your resort/time share.
Also, the employees are so friendly and helpful.
I have noticed something different at Lings now that they have been sold and cannot figure out what it is, but the employees are not as helpful as Super Foods. Although I still go to Lings for items in their cold deli case.
I cannot understand how Kong Hing stays in business, though.
Bottom line for me is that Super Foods now has everything I need without going to several markets. |

Newer isn't always better.
I'm thinking about that market that was on the Palm Beach road. I understand it is now closed.
All the same, we're looking forward to exploring the "new" Super Food...not available last September. Comparisons with Ling's will be rather critical...because we have mostly focused on Ling's. We did sometimes spread our dollars to the other markets, but Ling's was the prime recipient.
We did like the old Super Food for some things.
I don't think I have gotten a response when I ask if the old store is still open. _________________ Life is what we make it, always has been, always will be - Grandma Moses (1860 - 1961) |

The old Super Food store (that was located next to Kong Hing) is closed. _________________ ~Amy~®
