I have used Tropic car rental in the past but Hans has informed me he does not have any cars for my stay...8 days May 25 - June 2...we have used him 3x's before so this is disappointing.

What are some other car rental companies you would recommend & how much is the bus or taxi to the high rise area from the airport? Thanks for any help.

We have been using Budget for over twenty years four times a year and are very pleased with their cars.

I was just going to say that if Payless was booked, try Budget from Edna's recommendation since it sounds like she has found a "winner", too.

Amy I noticed you mentioned the cabfare. Does payless not pick you up at the airport and bring you back at the end of the trip?

I would guess that "taxi fare" is an alternative to being picked up for a rental car agreement/purchase. For us, that has been a "free service" in conjunction with the price charged for the rental.
If things have changed, let us know.
