Hi Aruba Friends,

I am on my Honeymoon and we loved Aruba and are staying at the Marriot Resort till tomorrow. We found a dog in Alto Vista Chapel that was dumped there this weekend and we were able to catch her and get her medical attention. The only thing is we are leaving on jetblue who does not cargo dogs and need a transporter for her going to NYC FRI, SAT, OR SUN (or sometime next week) flying out on Delta or American Airlines to get her back home. AA Cargo wants over a 1000.00 to do it because we are not traveling with her. If you are in Aruba, and your flying to NYC this weekend and can help us, please contact us. We will pay for the transportation just need a "transporter" to fly with the dog. You don't pay anything.

Sorry that we cannot help...not in Aruba until September, 2012.
Hate to say it, but I have the suspicion that the stray dog problem is getting worse.
There was a small pack hanging around Pizza Bob's/Ellioti's area in September. They were bordering on aggresive since had leftover food with us on two occasions. It is something we have never seen before since the late 80's.

A pack bark at me every morning in Baby Beach during my run. Sometimes a young stray in the pack would chase after me I had to turn back to stare it down. No one live in Baby Beach. The pack survives on garbage left by visitors.
