We are taking our own snorkel gear, so I think we will have snorkeling covered, but we would like to do a deep sea fishing excursion...anybody have any experience with these? Also, do you think there will be people there willing to go on a half day with us to cut the cost?

Does anybody know where we can rent a boat and/or a jet ski? We don't want to pay 70.00 for 30 minutes, especially since we would be using them a lot more then that!

Also, has anybody had the brunch at Savanna at the Osterich farm? I was thinking that might a cool place to go on Sunday...any opinions?

Your responses will be greatly appreciated!!!

We did the Mahi Mahi Fishing Charter when we were there in Sept. You can see photos on my trip report:
http://www.aruba-travelguide.com/trip-reports/2011/amy/

Here's the link to their wesbite:

I've never had the brunch at the Ostrich Farm but we did eat lunch there one year - ostrich burgers (very good - a very lean meat.)

When do you leave and which hotel are you staying at?

As far as the dinners it so hard to say. There are a ton of excellent restaurants with varying price ranges. You could have Pizza or you could have Surf & turf. Have you checked out Arubarestaurants.com? It is a very helpful site with a lot of reviews of many different restaurants. If you see a few that catch your eye you can always come back here & ask us Very Happy

Here's a good restaurant website that has links to the restaurants websites, google map for location, etc.

The restaurant sites also have links to some of the menus so you can get an idea of price ranges. As a general rule restaurant prices/quality are very similar to the US, maybe slightly higher.

You will find cheaper prices at the restaurants frequented by the locals. The Hot Takeaways are also a much cheaper alternative.

Check your bill before tipping. Some restaurants add a 15 percent service charge and some don't.

I own at Caribbean Palm Village, it is a small quiet resort. The grounds are immaculate and very pretty. You will have a great time.

You are right down the road from Wacky Wahoo, one of my favorites! Check it out.
