Has anyone heard about the Aqua 48 charge for water at restaurants?

Just heard about it yesterday. We were in Aruba the first 2 weeks of Sept. - always had water with dinners and did not experience this so must be something new.

Started while we were there last couple weeks. One florin donation to seniors.
Totally optional and not charged for refills. Of what we spend on the island a one florin donation per person was not an issue.

Well if that was case at EVERY place...then it would not be such a big deal.

Unfortunately every restaurant can do what they want.
Hopefully out of that one florin the charity got more then 5 cents on the dollar.

http://www.aqua48.com/en/
(((read)))...a "portion" of proceeds is given to Aqua48 then "part" of which is donated to charities Laughing

The real truth...
As per Aqua48:
"The recommended minimum retail price of a long drink glass (27 cl./ just over 9 fl oz) Aqua48 is 1 florin, incl. BBO. As an entrepreneur, you have the freedom to sell Aqua48 above this recommended retail price. Also, you can determine whether you will serve Aqua48-water exclusively or in addition to free tap water and/or spring water in a bottle."

Well that says it all!
That statement above is under "Info for companies"

Become a vendor of your own water supply...that is such a great concept. Very Happy

Who are the real people working for this company...well how can they be working... all they did is hand out 9oz. glasses.
Sit back and watch the money come in...Then give a LITTLE to the charities. How nice of them.
