We loved Savannah!

And we are loving Santa Fe - beautiful here, lots of art, great food, and friendly people.

We are trying to go to some places in the U.S. that we've never been before.

I will be out of vacation time by Sept. LOL!

Just got back from Santa Fe and Albuquerque. This was my first visit to New Mexico and I loved it! Amazing art, hot air ballooning, great food, and we even made a visit to an alpaca farm (they are so cute and cuddly.) I cannot wait to go back again next year!

Wineries were amazing, too (went to 4 different ones) - some of the oldest wineries in the U.S. are located in New Mexico.

Photo 1 - Shrimp and avocado ceviche
Photo 2 - Duck and shrimp tacos
Photo 3 - Spicy shrimp and a flash-fried avocado with a lime/yogurt sauce and pico de gallo.

The last photo was taken at a bar where (supposedly) Billy The Kid played poker.

We did! Really loved Santa Fe and New Mexico. It's been fun traveling to some new places in the U.S. that we've never been before. We have a tendency to go to our U.S. favorites (San Diego, Scottsdale, Seattle, NYC, South Beach, etc.) too much when there is alot of the U.S. yet to see. We seem to do the same in Europe and always gravitate toward Paris (our favorite) when there are still quite a few countries we need to explore.

Next year we definitely want to visit Charleston, SC (friends have told us that since we loved Savannah we'd love Charleston, too.) Also thinking about attending the Kentucky Derby and the annual Hot Air Balloon Festival in Albuquerque.

Right now trying to figure out where to go next year for our 20th wedding anniversary......have to start thinking about it/planning now. Wink
