The other day a girl on Eagle Beach was handing out cards for Soenchi's Restaurant. It include a free drink for everyone at your table. She was wearing an "I Love Aruba" (with the heart) T-shirt.
I jokingly said if we could have a T-shirt we would go.
Her reply after a minute said "Sure".
We went that evening and it turned out the "Girl" was the Hostess.
We presented our card as she remembered us and after sitting us at a great table near the "singer/guitar player the manager presented us with our T-shirts.
We also received our free drinks, Mojitos.
As to the meal.
Nancy ordered the Grouper and I the whole Red Fish.
Both meals were superb!!!!!
We also had an appetizer and dessert.
Nancy had a dish of Rasberry Yogurt and it was the best we ever tasted. It had rasberries mixed in it They make their own Yogurts.
I had the Bannana Crisp. Also very good.
This was one of the best meals we have had here over the years. The service was also very good. |

That sounds great! I've been so "on the fence" about Soenchi's because I've seen both great and poor reviews for it.
May have to try it if I can squeeze it in since I'm only staying 9 nights in April - or I can wait until Sept. when I have more time on the island.
And....you got some fun t-shirts, too!

The menu looks very interesting.
I will have to check some of the other reviews.

Hey there EBB,
Glad you and Nancy enjoyed your meals at Soenchi's. We were there a year ago and thoroughly enjoyed our dinners. As far as I can recall, at least one of us had one of their desserts in a tear-drop shaped ice bubble. We'll be back there in Jan. 2013.
Amy, I know you're only there for 9 nights in April but do try to have dinner there once during your trip. I'm sure you'll like it.
