It's 9:00 A.M on Thursday and Bob the Iguana is waiting patiently on a limb of the tree by the balcony of room 6303 at the Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort. He's looking for breakfast. All Iguanas are named Bob, both male and female, because of the way they bob their heads up and down. Some people call them Iggy but to have some named Iggy and some named Bob would only be confusing to an Iguana. All Pelicans are named Bill, the reason for which should be obvious. All Seagulls are named Fred but nobody knows why.
It's 79 degrees with an expected high of 84 today, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, etc. The sun is shining brightly and the birds are singing. The tourists are starting to stir.
We have some first-timers with us so we did the Island tour thing taking in the Lighthouse, the Ostrich Farm, the Natural bridge and a few other things. Got a lot of sun yesterday at De Palm Island. Got a lot of Rum drinks EVERYWHERE! We're with a fairly large group of 15 and it gets pretty crazy sometimes just trying to get everyone on the same page, so the Rum drinks really help.
Well, I better get busy doing nothing. We have today to ourselves, the wife and I, away from the group and we plan to do a lot of nothing. Or whatever we want. But you can be sure of one thing. Sun, sand and Rum will be involved. Oh yeah, and lots of shopping.

I would think that male iguanas would be called Bobber and females would be called Bobee?

As to pelicans, an old poem(?) comes to mind:

A peculiar bird is the pelican,
his bill holds more than his belly can!

I'm with you on the rum!!

Sorry, couldn't resist!
