In case anyone is looking for a car rental in Oct. I just cancelled my reservations with Hans for 2 weeks, the dates are 10/15 - 10/29.

Shoot! Hans was booked when we tried several months ago so we have a reservation with Optima now. We'll be there 10/13-10/24.
Sorry you won't be able to make it this year...

I did the same - booked with Optima/Payless. I am arriving on the 27th so it wouldn't be much help. Are you unable to get a refund Carol?

Luckily, Han's doesn't require payment up front. I still have to deal with the airlines though. I do have insurance, so I should get a refund.

oh carol too bad ,but aruba will wait for you.. depending on how you did your tic's at airlines,you maybe will have one year to reuse them, sky miles from aa can be re banked at a low fee.......

I was going send in for a refund, since I did purchase trip insurance. But I spoke with a rep from Continental, and she advised, if I book a trip within a year of the purchase date, AND supply a letter from the Doctor explaining the medical reasons, they will reimburse me $100 of the $150 change fee. So I'm considering a trip in the late spring, May or June. We shall see.

I am making a fast trip Nov 5 thru 13th and he was all booked up. You have to book early if you want Hans!!!
